1.
the night was blue the wind was blowing whispering sweet nothings hand in hand we continued to climb though we could barley see the mountain through the fog and the trees we were chased by wolves you fell and skinned your knees and tore your dress I kissed your wounds and got your blood on my lips
2.
I remember those rainy days where I'd sit and write things in the fog that graced the window panes and I'd draw hearts around your name but it never meant a thing it was all in vain and I remember those sunny days when I'd write you poem and I wanted to walk with you after school but you just wanted to go home and now I sit here writing you songs and I haven't seen you in weeks and I remember that summer breeze and the empty look in your eyes I watch the weeds grow taller as everything else I know dies
3.
Oh the way we'd lay in the shade of the fruit trees on those, sunny afternoons the way we'd laugh, sharing fruit and I miss your face and I miss your smile I miss you my friend the way you tied your hair in ribbons that blew in the wind and we'd lay upon the hillsides and find pictures in the sky we'd skip the paths, holding hands chasing rabbits through the tall, tall grass and we'd skip stones 'cross the river we'd skip along the riverbed we'd skip the paths, holding hands chasing rabbits through the tall, tall grass and the stars they came out at night we watched them shoot across the sky and that's when we went our separate ways and now I stare at the path hoping that you'll be coming back but I don't hear any footsteps
4.
Snow Beasts 03:24
5.
Bodies 01:36
And I remember that night we spoke I was shaking hard but not from the cold I watched the wind blow through your hair I was alone and were standing over there and I remember seeing some sort of hope in your eye that one day maybe we could hold hands and walk down roads that have no ends or ways back home but in time I soon gave up 'cause time's relentless it doesn't give a fuck and now I watch the dying sun as it falls behind those hills and I place my hand over my heart and I wait for it to stop
6.
and I pictured you with wings in summer, fall, and spring the way you'd sing from the top of the tallest tree and I pictured you with paws through summer, winter, fall the way you'd beg out on the porch and I don't wanna waste a perfectly good sunday afternoon just to sit and pray and sun, sun, sun won't you please come back again sun , sun, sun the night is closing in sun, sun, sun won't you bring warmth to my skin and it's funny how I find that your hand fits perfectly in mine and our limbs they intertwine lying in the grass well look how many stars there are and when the morning comes we'll still be singing sun, sun, sun won't you please come back again sun, sun, sun won't you please return sun, sun, sun won't you bring warmth to my skin
7.
long hair dipped in shadows playing on the wall I sit still in a yellow room that the smoke fills up like fog warm eye trapped in the dark of night your pierce my skin with your velvet fangs but your smile's so irresistible so drag your feet across the wooden floor your laugh in mumbled like a lions roar dangerous but yet so beautiful blood in the fur your blouse blew in the summer wind golden fields and a yellow sun we went swimming in the river of the tears you cried and chased fireflies all night I held onto your glowing palm it was so warm, it was so soft now in the woods you lay fast asleep wrapped up in white, white sheets blood in the fur
8.
we walk shoulder to shoulder through the gun powder take my hand and we'll go dancing in the rain we lay in the clover deep in the clover and watch the shooting stars through the fog and the trees oh the wolves come after the children with the lambs blood spread above their doors see the wolves come carry off the children oh the children deep into the woods take my hand and we'll go dancing in the rain
9.
Dead Horse 02:10
I'm beating a horse, that's already dead you're trapped in the labyrinth inside my head and darling you're my great depression I'm drinking wine made from aggression and I'm about to throw the towel in I'm beating a horse, that's already it's got bloody teeth and it's grinning at me, all red come on babe, it's time to stick the pig well I'm beating a horse and breaking it's ribs and it looks like this is the end
10.
this is the elephant song elephants marching in the dying sun this is the elephant song elephants marching with their giant trunks they're so much larger than people
11.
I see the mountains they're just silhouettes, off in the distance and I see the tops of the trees oh how they grow so high reaching arms out to the sky and I watched the wind blow through their branches like it blew through your hair and the morning birds were singing while you played your guitar the grass still wet with dew, from the night before and the light it fades away and darkness comes and all the stars come out from hiding and I remember how we laughed and told stories all night long and as the darkness fades, I watched you walk away and of course I, I went the other way and I walked under the trees oh how they grow so high reaching arms out to the sky and I watched the wind blow through their branches like it blew through your hair and in the morning birds were singing while you played your guitar the grass still wet with dew from the night before yeah it was beautiful that's when I realized that everything is beautiful
12.
the rain falls down on me and blends with my tears so that you don't know the difference I notice a slight difference in the taste but you don't know it and my hands are cold and clammy as I walk by your side you left your footprints in the pavement for all to find and when the sun sets and the night comes with the darkness I know, I'll be alone and your legs are smooth and holy as you lay by my side I only hope that in the morning I'll awake to you on the right and the cigarette smoke lingers in the room and, goddamn, I want you and when the sun sets and the night comes with the darkness I know, I'll be alone and I wish it wasn't so
13.
I watched the rain trace it's way across your face I see your naked, feet step softly as they tip-toe down the hall and your arm hags like a noose around my neck as I watch lies, escape your fragile lips I trace your shadow across the wall you're passed out on the bathroom floor I see your reflection in the shattered mirror your drowning in a river made from your own tears and although you keep me warm I can't help but feel claustrophobic in your arms
